Galbanum - the green and herbal notes

Galbanum is a resin obtained from certain species of Ferula, a type of perennial herb. Its scent is often described as green, herbal, and slightly balsamic. The green notes are reminiscent of freshly-cut grass or crushed leaves, while the herbal aspect evokes a slightly medicinal or aromatic quality. Galbanum also carries hints of earthiness and resinous undertones, contributing to its complex and refreshing aroma. In perfumery, Galbanum is valued for its ability to add depth and freshness to fragrances, often used as a green or herbal accent in both floral and woody compositions.

The green vegetal scent of the rainforest is characterized by the diverse array of plant life found within this ecosystem. It encompasses fresh, verdant notes evocative of lush foliage, moss, ferns, and other greenery. This scent is often vibrant, refreshing, and revitalizing, capturing the essence of the dense, oxygen-rich atmosphere of the rainforest.

GALBANUM is the only fragrance that contains petrichor in our line. Petrichor refers to the distinct earthy aroma that arises when rain falls on dry soil or pavement. It is composed of a mixture of compounds, including geosmin released by soil-dwelling bacteria and various plant oils.

Petrichor is often described as clean, fresh, and invigorating, with earthy, mineral-like undertones. The scent of Petrichor is associated with rain showers, evoking feelings of renewal, nostalgia, and connection to nature.
